Operated by Camp Fire USA Central Alabama Council, Camp Fire West  is located in the West End community of Birmingham. Adjacent to Woodward Park and only blocks from area schools, Camp Fire West is a convenient and idyllic location for youth programming.  Get your child off to a great start this school year by enrolling in Camp Fire’s After School Program. Camp Fire West offers families safe, educational, affordable child care during those after-school hours. We know how important that time is for your child and want to provide the best in educational assistance and nutrition.

2011 After School Care Information 

  • We are now accepting registrations for the 2011/2012 school year.
  • Monday - Friday
  • Check-in: 3:00 p.m.
  • Check-out: Child/Youth must be signed out by 6:00 p.m.
  • Boys and Girls K - 5th Grade.
  • Fee: $40.00 per child ($35.00 for each additional brother or sister in a family.)
  • Featured activities include: School Assignment Assistance, Computer Skills, Arts & Crafts, Sports and Games, LOTS OF FUN and Much More!
  • Register Early To Guarantee Your Space!  Spaces filled on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Registration Is Easy:  

1: Complete the registration, medical and authorized pick-up forms. 

2: Submit forms along with a Family Membership Fee to Camp Fire West. 

3. The Family Membership Fee is required for each child registered. Methods of payment accepted are cash,   check, credit card or money order. 

4. Once enrolled in the After-School Program, the weekly fee is due at the beginning of each program week.  

5. We accept Childcare Central Participants at this site.

 

Family Membership Fee/Deposit

  • The Family Membership Fee is designed to offer savings to families enrolling in multiple Camp Fire West programs.
  • A one-time payment of the Membership Fee entitles a family to participate in After School Care, Spring Break Camp and Summer Day Camp without having to pay registration fees for each individual program.
  • The Family Membership Fee is required to reserve your child’s place in the Summer Day Camp program.
  • Family Membership Fees are non-refundable.
  • Family Membership Fees: $25.00 for the first child in family.  $20.00 for each additional brother or sister in family. Deposit: A deposit is required only for those families who have already paid the Family Membership Fee when registering for the After School Care or Spring Break Camp programs.
  • The deposit is needed to secure your child’s place in the Summer Day Camp program. It is non-refundable, but will be applied to your first week’s program fee.
  • Deposit: $10.00 per child.
