Mission - Why does Camp Fire exist? |

Camp Fire's Mission is to build caring, confident youth and future leaders.
It is a noble mission, as today's children and youth will one day be the adult leadership and driving force in our communities, our state, our nation and our world. Slow your reading for a moment and think:
What is the one thing that every leader in this world has in common?

What in their childhood and youth prepared them for the role they now play?
It's likely that there were significant people in their lives from who they learned, by whom they were inspired. It is also likely that they had significant, memorable experiences through which they discovered their own likes, dislikes, talents, abilities and just as important, their inabilities.
Camp Fire's Philosophy (proven to be sound by research!) is that providing children and youth with significant, safe people, experiences and opportunities will greatly increase the likelihood that they will grow to be productive, well adjusted, fulfilled adults - and tomorrow's great leaders.
